So I found out my employer is one of the groups involved in the 241 toll-road expansion. And now they're spamming emails and sign-up sheets to show support to help build their case to get the appeal approved.

Well I decided to put up my Save Trestles sticker, and they come by and ask me to take it down, and that I cannot promote my personal agenda. What the fuck? Blargh. Talk about bullshit right there. And people are actually signing this shit. That toll road won't do fucking shit other than destroy land, waste money, and invite more people to come along and build more fucking unnecessary houses.

So I can't put it up because it could create personal conflict? Well isn't that exactly what they started? So I emailed everyone the http://www.surfrider.org/savetrestles link. I'm sure that's not going to go over well now either, but seriously, what the fuck? Assholes...

you should also put the save tressles link in your email sig....


that whole expansion just pisses me off....and this is coming from the son of a contractor that built or had a part in building a lot of the freeways in so cal....the only reason they want to put it there is it's the easiest path....jackoffs! :mad:

Thanks Lizard! I just hope I don't get suspended or anything, I could use the money right now haha. But if I do, I can use the free time to finish unpacking. So I guess it's win/win

And good idea CB, I just added it. And yeah, it's a pretty horrible idea. It's just a lazy idea really. I just can't believe they're trying to pass this shit off as a "green solution" Wow.

I wonder would it constitute wrongful dismissal? I dunno cos you're badmouthing your company which probably isn't good... but at the same time they're telling you what you can and can't do in your own time... may be worth looking into.
