edited June 2008 in All Encompassing Trip
Will be moving there in just a few months and would like any and all information as far as things to do, nice places to live, etc. Not really looking for any reasons 'not' to go there cause its a done deal. I'm goin. jJob is transferring me there an dI'll be working in the downtown area. Anyway, any info would be much appreciated. And I don't want to hear about the Cowboys.... not gonna happen. I never been there but I know you can get more for you money in Texas..although I'm not sure about Dallas.
These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.
  • yeah just looking at places and homes in Dallas and surrounding areas, it's CRAAAAZY how much cheaper it is than here in So Cal. Its nice to know my salary will increase, while my cost of living will be cut in half pretty much. Got a couple trips out there planned before I go, so will get a look at some places.
  • thought I'd give this another whirl. A single guy movin away from So Cal for the first time for work. Just wanna know of places anyone would recommend to live in the Dallas area, things to do (lakes, trails, bars, etc.).

I have partied my ass right off in Dallas.
It's a hot state that Texas.
I wouldn't live there, to hot for me.
But DFW area kicks ass for partying.

If a dude walks into any given club
I can promise ya the chic ratio to dude ratio
    is insane..
every chic in Texas wants to dance..
crazy ass country gals livin in a big city, weird shit i think
but what the hell, theyre havin fun

but the huge tall jacked up 4x4 trucks on asphalt/concrete
drives me nuts..somebody really should slap
the fuck out of some of those assholes..

    find a mud-hole you prick..
why for does a 4x4 huge big truck need be in
a city with more population than the state of Iowa??
    wanna bee bullshit cowboy prick..
    go find a horse someplace..
3/4 of em couldn't ride a horse if you paid em too..

    hey
when you get to Dallas go find Westend
it's among the big tall buildings.
look for the green glass funny looking shaped building..
it's many square blocks of restaurants, clubs, bars, taverns
everything and anything as far as drinks, foods, music, and shit like that goes.
horse drawn carriages and stuff goin on..all kinds of stuff..
