The day you retire is the day you're too old for a career change.

Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

The thing that makes it tough is: I currently have a pretty good job that I dont hate (that much). Im not sure if it would be wise to walk away from that.
I dont have a family. My GF wants me to pop the question, and basically said if I do this and we arent engaged by then, she is gone, but I really dont care. The thing that would make this possible is the absence of responsibilities.

I don't think it's ever too late to change careers. I don't think you should be miserable if you have the power to change things.
