i like to think not many things get to me in the world. but ironing pisses me the fuck off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i don't have the patience to stand there, over a hot iron, in my roasting apartment at 10:30 at night for one friggen shirt that i have to wear to work tomorrow.

i feel everytime i iron, my shirts or pants become more wrinkled.

fuck this! i'm cracking a beer and regrouping.

I hate Ironing with a passion!! And I avoid doing it to such a degree that I practically NEVER iron!

If you're having trouble with your shirts and stuff in terms of wrinkles you could try sprinkling water on them. That helps with wrinkles.
But I'd either do what cutback does and send them to laundry/dry cleaners or do what I do and hang up on coathangers over the heater when you're drying them. OR buy clothes that don't need really need ironing.

If you have to have shirts for work, can't you get those permanent press type ones that are a really good weave and don't require ironing as often?

Or fuck it just crack a can and do it in the morning when it's cooler??? ;)
    NOPE!!!

i should do the same, but the dry cleaners around me are pretty expensive, so i try and suck it up every week and just iron. i have to wear a shirt and tie to work, so five shirts a week can rack your tab up quickly!

How do you think your clothes feel about it. Every time they see you coming with a hot iron, they are shitting themselves !!

This was going to be my response. I also do small loads of laundry and try to take it out before the dryer stops.

    i iron everyday
  • i feel everytime i iron, my shirts or pants become more wrinkled.

Glad to know I'm not the only one. :D

When I need something ironed and want it to look really nice, I have my husband do it. He has tried to teach me, but I suck at it. Most of the time, though, I just stay away from clothes that require it! ;)
  • Just toss it back in the dryer for about 5 minutes. wrinkles gone, warm and wearable, in most cases.

that's why I only have low wrinkage clothes.
I NEVER iron! missing having a tumble drier for that, it's even less wrinkage with those.
  • It's the most mind dumbingly boring chore ever.

I only iron when I have to.

    1) That's what spray starch is for.
    2) Keep your suit coat on and then it won't show.

it's not dryer sheets, it's spray. it works all the time! and right before you run out, you can fill the thing up with water and even the diluted works so you ahve to buy it less often.
