i was a big fan of 28 days later and i FINALLY got around to seeing 28 weeks later lastnight, and i loved it! any other fans out there?

weeks was much more gory and i thought more scarey. the movie ends with a huge cliff hanger, can't wait to see if they make a third.

I didn't think it was as scary, but still enjoyable.
  • im one of the few i think but the 28 series is some of the best zombie movies since the romero stuff. not that its even close to the 'of the dead' stuff. i actually liked the second one better.

i can't consider it a zombie movie though. they were people getting infected with a violent disease, not dead people coming back from the dead.

I picked it up on blu ray but haven't watched it yet...maybe this weekend.
Bought 3:10 to Yuma also, on Champ's advice.

The opening scenes freaked me the fuck out. I normally don't get freaked either. I had a nightmare about it. I felt like a pussy.

  • Great movies. yeah, pretty much the only non Romero zombie film worth anything. I liked the first one the best as it was such a change from other horror flicks and so well shot.

It was ok. I really only thought the first half of the movie was good. Days was far far better. It kept the tension going much longer. I thought the ending of Weeks really sucked. It wasn't a cliffhanger it was the studio saying "Sequel anyone?" It felt so tacked on. And the shaky cam made me nauseous too.
Overall, not bad. It killed a couple of hours. But nothing special really. At least we know where Michael anded up when he left the Lost island though ;)

I so want to see this film... I loved 28 days later but just haven't got around to this one yet.
Mixed reviews on here I see, but I think I'll give it a whirl at the weekend. :)

It's worth seeing for sure but not as good as the original. Then again, the 1st is my favorite horror film of all time.

28 days later is a great film.

28 weeks later is not. In my opinion anyway. I remember being very dissapointed when I watched it. There were several things about it, plot wise, that really annoyed me, but they escape me now.
