my jaw is killing me

i think it's time to get my wisdom teeth pulled. this sucks... everyone i know that has gotten theirs pulled, looked like they got hit in the face with a bat.

    That is definitely the look you will have! But once the pain subsides you won't be sorry! Make sure they give you extra meds! I had all four pulled at once and it sucked!

    I agree with Mookie. It sucks. I had mine done about 2 months ago and it was awful. I lived on scrambled eggs, Jello, and Ensure for about a week. I also blasted through a script and a half of percs. Luckily I still have some left over.

    I do feel a lot better after the pain went away. I guess in the end it is worth it. Make sure you clean those holes in your jaw out. Getting food stuck in there is murder.

    it sucks but it is not THAT Bad. But I guess everyone's response and pain threshold is different.

    Besides wisdom teeth, I had to have 4 permanent teeth pulled before I got braces (years and years ago!!) and even that could have been worse.

    I had it done when I was 17. It wasn't bad at all. I even went out that night.

    I wasn't very sore from the surgery, but the anesthetic left me in a state in which I got sick when I stood up.
    I had the beat up look too. There may have been an Easton Aluminum in the operating room.

    i had to go through that too before i got my braces. they had to yank 4 or 5 permanent to make room. that sucked, but then again i was only like 10 or 11.

    well, i just need to get to a dentist and get some x-rays taken. i guess it won't be that bad... i get a hand full of drugs, and time off from work!

    I think the older that you are, the worse it is. Well, that's what the doc told me before he blasted my face open.

    The most important thing is how far protruded thay are. My first two I had done in college. They were impacted, and it was miserable. The second 2 I had done years later. They were more than halfway broken through. They were both out in a few seconds, very little pain, and a lot less blood
