actually that's not the whole knicks team. while they are the joke of the league, the players are good people and hardly thugs, especially jamal crawford who might be the nicest guy in the league.

as far as im concerned, it is the whole team....

and my opinion is the only one that matters. :)

    Esther's here and she's sick?

is that why he demanded a trade until they brought in Garnet?

decided to take a peak at the old standing today to see just how bad the knicks ended the season, and i couldn't help to notice that miami finished 51 games back of boston.

    that is comical!

when are they going stop making this a professional sport? it's really sad. i was once interested in the NBA back in the early/mid 90's, but time have changed. this is just an embarrassement.

This really is an ignorant comment.........The NFL had a bigger disparity in terms of winnining percentage for a first place team and a last place team

    Pats - 1.000
    Dolphins - .063

    Celtics - .805
    Heat - .183

Should the NFL stop being a professional sport?

EDIT: Yes I know it's probably dumb to bring back a thread from 3 months ago.....but i was doing a search for ron artest before making another post so i wouldnt be reposting something that was already on the board and came across this thread

I like how hockey fans talk crap about the NBA...

weren't your sport on strike 2 years ago.

Next Tuesday, the official 2008-09 season starts.

    Boston vs. Cleveland.

yeah, so the NHL lost an entire season due to the lock out. but i honestly think we have a better game today because of it.

and of course i don't expect the NBA to stop becoming a professional sport b/c a team finished 50+ games behind the first place team.

but there is something wrong with the sport when you have 4 out of the 8 eastern conference teams making the playoffs and they don't even have a winning record!

the NHL is a dog race until the end. a team that finished with 90-94 points on the season isn't even guaranteed to make the playoffs these days.

I love that marijuana isn't on the banned substance list in the NBA. If there was they wouldn't have any players. So there is some truth to the stereotypes.

I agree with you if this was back in the 60's when the league was mostly white would we have this thug issue? Well would we?

Many well being people smoke pot does that make them an automatic thug or is it something else that bothers you about these people?

    Peace

Oh, Jesus the PC nonsense around here is unbelievable...It's a joke...if there was a ban on pot in the NBA there wouldn't be any ball players...I think everyone here has to go burn one and put on a extra layer of skin...sheesh.

Well, the NBA don't have "ties" or "overtime losses" or "shoutlosses" or whatever they it...so NBA teams either win or lose.

For the record, last season, only 2 teams from the East had a below .500 record.
