Is this still possible?

Splitting your cable modem signal and getting free cable TV? I used to do this back in college, eight years ago. I'm wondering if anyone does this still? Or if its even possible anymore. The cable TV landscape sure has changed in the past eight years. I'm moving soon, and I'd love to do it again! Damn cable companies....

Well, back in the day cable companies used to send their high speed internet signal and their cable TV signal over the same cable line, I guess because it was cheaper for them. Most people didn't realize this and never tried hooking the cable wire to their TV. If you did you got free cable TV. So all you needed to do was split the line as soon as it came out of your wall, one goes to your cable modem and the other to your TV. Free cable TV while only paying for high speed internet. The signal was always there, I just chose to intercept it with a TV for two years, it was great.
