So, I recently applied for another job cause my contract was ending here and I got it. The job is three hours closer to my fiancee, slightly less money but a bigger position with slightly less responsibility than I have now.

Interesting that it's a bigger position, but less money and responsibility....

I'd say that if the difference in salary is really small (like within $2,000 or $3,000 of each other), I would take it and move closer to your fiance.

Overall, I'd say go with your gut. But, where do you plan on living once you're married? Is it closer to where you are now or where she is? Is the job one you'll like? I'd make a list of pros and cons. Too many unknowns! lol Good luck what ever you decide.

we made a list of the pro's and con's but it was still unclear to me. It is better to be closer to her, however, I am moving to the city anyway in the fall, it was already a deal we made. I would split my time between the city and here. Still not sure, but I am leaning more towards taking it. Have to decide by Wednesday I think
