    I hate when people say she has reinvented herself.

    she has not...she is woefully behind the times...but the term reinventing herself is self imposed much like how Michael Jackson was the first to call himself the "king of pop"

    She has her place in pop music...I personally find no value to anything she has ever placed in the musical pantheon.

    even the phony Brit accent was at the very least sort of funny...hahaha kinda like when all of a sudden she stopped showing her scary leather snatch and started wearing tweed...around the time she wrote a kid's book. hahahhaa

    then mystical and goth at the same time...and both way way way to late to be relevant or even slightly before the curve.

    as for her being sexy - well she sells that image well...but I would wager that half of her appeal is just the fact that we have been inundated with the concept of her as being an ultimate sexual being, since the middle of the 1980's.

    Definitely, but she's had the advantage of an incremantal build up of fan's since the mid 80's to keep her in public view and hasn't taken long periods ot compared to others.
