this year. No live albums, rarities, and to this point studio. Does that mean more than likely we'll see a studio album before the end of the year? I can't decide. I know the election is coming up. And they might want to release an album right in front of it. Or they could do another rock the vote type thing. Ultimately delaying it further. I'm not really starving for new Pearl Jam. But with O'Brien on board! I could really go for a Pearl Jam album with his production values right now. What do you guys think? And what direction would you like them to take? I wouldn't mind a bluesy root rock based album. Kind of like Riot Act, minus the punk tendencies. I'm just in a long-winded type of mood from listening to My Morning Jacket.
You are just a negative mindless pud.

my best guess is that they are playing these shows to "tighten up" for their upcoming recording. I don't anticipate an album until next year, but that is strictly my opinion and based on know insider knowledge.
There's Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Robert Johnson......and then everybody else.

Wait a minute, there's an election coming up? ;)
I pledge to you a government that will not only work well, but wisely, its ability to act tempered by prudence, and its willingness to do good, balanced by the knowledge that government is never more dangerous than when our desire to have it help us blinds us to its great power to harm us.

well, according to rolling stone, they are touring b/c bonnaroo offered them the main slot (and lots of $), and they figured, hell, lets schedule a small tour around that. i doubt we'll see an album till late 2009, if not later. its nowhere near being done. plus ed is touring again in the late summer/fall...they won't even be working on it a ton till late this year/early next.
