I'm going to London??
My girl got an invite from the school to study for 3 weeks over winter break in London since it fits her major and she has a high GPA. She was told she could bring someone else who needs the English class she is taking for their major. Well, turns out I need English 302 for my Journalism major, and he/she must have atleast a 2.25GPA...I barely meet that. Everything is included for 4,000$ except airfare and personal expenses.
Looks like I'm going to LONDON!!! I never thought I would ever go to London...we have to attend 6 concerts/plays/theater acts during this time too. Then hopefully 2 out of the 3 weekends, me and her will make a getaway to Italy (my true dream)

bloody expensive though! im a bit shocked
I thought so too but 3 weeks in London with room paid for and a meal paid for each day comes out to a little less, but you gotta add the fact that you have to pay for the credits and for the concerts that you have to attend.

well like, how much money do you think it is to travel from london to florence or tuscany?
That's a different story altogether. Check out easyjet.com or ryanair.com for the cheapest flights. I try not to use ryanair unless I abolsutely have to though. Even then though just make sure to factor in the cost of getting to the airport. Of course, I say this not knowing what sort of budget you have to work with, but these things add up.

London is bloody expensive

i agree. i studied abroad in scotland and it was under 7000 for the entire semester.... airfare, housing, meals, bus pass, credits, etc included.
i realize london is more expensive though.. still seems steep.
to the OP.. have fun... and there are definately cheap ways to get to Italy... esp. from London... you just have to search around some.

Would also recommend getting a London A-Z.
How much say do you have in the theatre/concerts? For theatre I'd definitely recommend The National (contains 3 theatres) http://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/ ... they also release some tickets on the day.
