Friends: The Movie

I just heard about this today. Friends was my all time favorite TV show but I never expected a reunion. I guess after all the success of the Sex and the City movie, Friends wanted to get on board. Not sure how I feel about it. Thoughts?

They wouldn't have to incorporate Joey stuff - no one watched it.
seriously, what's the deal with all these shitty movies lately?

haha yeah i was a huge Friends fan and made it through 1 episode of Joey. He was always my least favorite Friend.
If anything, they need to avoid making it a really long episode. Cos then it'd just feel like a really, really long episode - like everyone got back on board except the editing room.
But maybe I'm just bitter after the Simpsons movie sucked so much monkey nipple.
also this would mean giving david schimmer an acting job and i can't have that....nor should anyone else
I read in the Post that she said her career was ruined after that show-no one will hire her! Yipes. That has to hurt, leaving the Sopranos for...Joey!
but anyway yeah I think that is best left to being a reunion show on TV if anything
I can't imagine them doing anything so spectacular that it needs to be a 2hr movie

My brother watched it too, and I could never understand how... anytime I tried, I wanted to stab myself in the thorax. It took everything that was wrong with the latter seasons of Friends, and removed all lingering good stuffs.
But that wasn't even the point I was making - I was just saying that, because so few people actually watched the show, including stuff from it would just confuse the issue.
I'd agree that a TV special is the way to go if they have to do anything, but I just can't see a Friends reunion being a good thing for anything except their wallets.
there have been some great movies out lately by hollywood standards:
WALL - E
Iron Man
Wanted
are all quality entertaining movies ... it's better than it has been ...
But, i'll still check it out

It's not confirmation but its pretty good.
Personally, I would be happy to see a movie. Even if it's not as good as the TV show, it will certainly be as good as many shitty comedies...
2007: Copenhagen, Werchter
2009: Rotterdam, London
2010: MSG, Arras, Werchter
2012: Amsterdam, Prague, Berlin
2014: Amsterdam, Stockholm
Amen!
come on aniston for example the only stuff that i read is if she have a new man or not ...nothing else
haven't seen any of those yet. i don't really get out to the theater much anymore. i usually rent new releases every tuesday. and lately, everything's been liquid shit. well, not everything. but a good percentage. it just seems like everything i've rented in the past couple months has turned my stomach. i think the last decent movie i rented was probably........hmmm......either it was charlie wilson's war or no country for old men, whichever came out most recently.
**edit**
i do want to see ironman, and i'm really looking forward to wall-e. i saw a trailer for that a while back and told my wife we should take the kids to see it (one of the many good reasons for having kids....a cartoon movie that looks good that i want to see, but am to much of a pigheaded man to admit it? "hey, let's take the kids to that one")

haha ... yeah - i work in movies and they have been shit for sure ...
so, the spade of good movies which will include the dark knight is a welcome relief ...
I would pay a large sum of money to see a Seinfeld movie though.

dark knight i'm definitely looking forward to seeing. hopefully they'll have it at the drive-in this summer. that's where we see most of our movies when we don't rent.

I thought they did it in front of an audience...
But yeah, it would be weird to NOT include some sort of laugh track.
Star Wars I, II and III anyone?
Indiana Jones?
Not that they didnt have their charm, I enjoyed them both to a degree, but they should not have ever been made IMO.
I hope they dont make a Scrubs movie.....
