To who it may concern, Camel is discontinuing their Turkish Gold brand.

Sorry Camel but you cant get a 14 year old hooked on such a great tasting cigarette and then 10 years later cut em off. What the fuck? It looks like im gonna have to do some taste testing. Any recommendations?

I wonder how long it will take someone to recommend quitting?

Man, I smoked those for about 2 months, but had to go down to Camel Lights because the Golds were killing my throat.

Oh, and quit smoking already ;)

oh and if you like the Golds, you might like the Turkish Royals or Turkish Silvers if they still make those....
  • smoke menthals or dont smoke at all!
  • OMG those were nasty. They were always giving them out free at bars. We only ever smoked them when we were out of Camel Lights.

    PURE DIRT.

  • Yeah, once you pick a brand, that's it.

When I first smoked it was Markboro Lights.

After quitting it was Camel Lights the next time.

After briefly quitting again I am still on Camel Lights.

i dont know for sure but one would assume that if they're discontinuing Golds then the same would probably go for Royals and Silvers but we'll have to wait and see.

Camels were pretty smooth for a non light gerb. They did get to be too much when smoked too often, but every now and then a nice smooth change.

    Marbs can be pretty harsh.

That said, fuck the camel and Im glad hes dead. maybe the cancer he gave caught up with him.

That would suck. I liked the Golds and Royals. Never liked the Jades and Silvers tasted like crap. Those two should be discontinued.

Time for you to graduate to camel filters, son. Even though I hate the new "look." Besides, smoking nasty cigs will make it easier to quit. I swear, I'm gonna soon....

I have recently switched the the Marlboro Lt 72's.

A little shorter. Same flavor(mayeb better) than the reg lts. I actually found that I smoke a little less than I did before with these.

Considering quitting alltogether here soon since I have been on my deathbed the last week or so, just not sure I have the will power! ;)

I would try Backwoods Honey Berry cigars.

They are quite tasty and don't smell half as bad as cigarettes

Damn... that's bad news. The Turkish Golds were always my "go-to" smoke if I was in a gas station that didn't sell my American Spirit lights... they were always a nice pleasant switch.
