Desean Jackson and Anthony Gonzalez, do you sell high on these guys? I'm skeptical they will keep up this kind of production but then again I would kick myself if they had decent years.

    personal take...

DeSean Jackson has benefitted from injuries, Reggie Brown and Kevin Curtis have been out .... so when they come back, there are better options for McNabb compared to Avant and that ilk.

That said, Jackson may be Philly's best receiver this year ... I just worry about his slight frame, I think he could get injured as he's pretty small. I don't see Jackson getting 100 yards a game ... this may be his peak value.

Gonzalez ... if Dallas Clark gets injured, which is likely (he was out for most of last week's game) that bumps Gonzalez up a bit. Manning seems to be trusting him a lot more ... I think his value may increase as the season goes along.

Not sure where you stand as far as other receivers go, your scoring style, depth of the league, etc .... but ... depending on what's being offered to you, might be a good time to sell high on Jackson. But there are a lot fo variables you're leaivng out.

Being from the philly area don't trade jackson wheter reggie and kevin are out or not desean will still be VERY PRODUCTIVE. The eagles spread the ball out so much that he will get his far share. Consider DJ a very high 3rd receiver or a low 2nd in ffb.

that's the thing ... it depends, right ... you call him a high 3 / low 2 .... but, if someone is willing to give him high 2nd / low 1st value for him ... then, I suggest sell.

again ... lots of info missing.

  • I probably should have included the rest of the info. It's a PPR league, we can start 3 or 4 WRs including the flex positions and I currently have Andre and Calvin Johnson, Roddy White and then Desean a Gonzalez.

I could use another RB as I have Marion Barber, Jamal Lewis and two of the Denver abortions, Selvin Young and Andre Hall.

it can't hurt to float them out there and see what you could get.

you may be able to get someone who started out slowly which a league member is down on cheaply

  • I'm in a pickle as well

    Addai has been killing me

Should I sit him for Chris Johnson..if I don't due to injuries I will have 3 Colts in my lineup

My other options at RB are R. Bush, Edge and Fargas

for this week, I'd consider it ... IND vs JAX ... the Jags have always played the Colts tough and will come out hungry at 0 - 2.

Titans vs Houston ... could be a big day for Johnson.

I just hate how LenDale steals his goaline carries.

  • I love Chris Johnson so I would def start him.

There are a lot of players people are down on, such as Addai, Grant, and Braylon. I'll try trading Jackson for one of these guys and see what happens.

I started Johnson over Addai this last week and did not regret it. Until the Colts show me something I'm in wait and see mode.

Johnson looks like he is good for 100 yards each week and should only get better as he gets more reps/experience.
  • The only problem is these rookie RBs hit the wall at some point. Look at AD last year. I think Forte, Johnson, Stewart, and Smith will tail off during the season.

assume by AD you mean AP - Adrian Peterson ....

Stewart and Johnson are splitting time actually. Maybe they will be fresh longer.

what is up with LJ by the way...killing me this year

only given 12 carries last week? ugh.

With Thigpen as the starter, expect LJ to cary the ball 400 times this week ... Atlanta is pretty soft against the run ... should be a good game ... but, overall prognosis for LJ deosn't look good ... 8 and 9 man fronts and try and make the Chief pass ... seems to be the defensive plan against them ...

AP's nickname is AD as in All Day Adrian Peterson, so he goes by both.

That is true, but with some of these timeshares there might be a bit less of that.

But I certainly think Addai will be great this season, the Colts just need to get into the swing of things.

Thier whole game is off kilter.

I say float em out there and see who bites. Always look to future weeks! You may need a RB or hell even a solid backup QB. Both those guys are low # 2 recievers IMO.

I got top score last week! I love Westy and Megatron!

would you trade julius jones for santana moss in my situation?

i have an abundance of good rb's (w parker, s jackson, w mcgahee, jones, l white) but am short on wideouts (w walker, d patten, b berriman, and bobby engram and dante stallworth who are hurt but may be sleepers later in the year).

would you pull the trigger on this deal?

I would do that I think. I felt that Boldin would be better than Fitz this year.

NOW with Warner throwing the sky's the limit with those two.

Willie amazing, but I think with your needs this is a good trade.

With that said. I would offer Parker and try to get a more legitimate stud, but if nothing comes up this seems good for you.

i think you're right. boldin is this guy's best reciever by far. his 2nd wr is bowe from kc. of the teams that i am talking to the only wideout who seems to be better is braylen edwards. do you think i should offer parker for braylen or just make the boldin deal?

I have Edwards and he is killing me. He will be fine, but it might take a few more weeks, PLUS that team might be in trouble. Anderson might not be the QB he was, and if he isn't very good Edwards could suffer. Even in the best of times Braylon has a case of the drops.

So all things considered I would say you might be better off with Boldin.

Tough call, as Edwards could be a beast, but I think you are good with either trade.

Pretty fair. I think Jones will be very solid while Morris is out and they have to run the ball a lot, but that offense can't be good with all those injuries, and other teams will key in on stopping the run.

Moss is a really good receiver, I just think you will get a Jekyl and Hyde routine with Campbell, so Moss will be hit or miss. (although more hit, especially when/if Collins gets the nod.)

You don't give up much, given your strength at RB, and you do help your WR corp.

Not a bad move. I would probably do either one or the other, and not feel bad. It's nice having such a strength to work from.

eh, i just pulled the trigger on the boldin deal. i really need a stud receiver. plus, i kind of think parker's numbers may drop off as the season goes on and they start using the bigger mendenahll more towards the goal line.
