I found a ton of old SNES games and thought I would set up the SNES for my kids to see the greatest game system ever. Of course I couldn't find the SNES but my daughter works at a game/dvd/cd store so she bought one for cheap.
So we get it all set up and are playing games and some games will save but then when we go back to play there are no saved games.
Do you think the battery packs in the games are too old?
I found Earthbound and hope the saves work on it. I think they will since it still had saved games on it. LOVE that game!
My Mario All Stars is broke again. You can change the control buttons around so that the B button is dash not jump. I can not play the game like that, B must be the jump button. Way back when I first bought it and it broke I called Nintendo and they fixed it for free. Well it is broke again, think Nintendo will fix it I told my kids I was going to email them and see what they say.

They are playing Yoshi's Island(where the yoshis carry baby Mario on their back) and we keep having to start over. Kind of a pain. I guess we could try to play thru the whole game in one day, taking turns.

Very few games implemented rechargeable batteries. The charging mechanism produced too much heat, which led to game hangs and crashes.
Hope the battery changing works for ya!
