Sooo ummm I am in Columbia SC and am wondering

does the whole town shut down at 7 every night? We got here got settled and went on the look out for a CVS to get toothbrushes and stuff and by the time we got to one it was closed, at 7 pm???

Is anything going to be open today?

And our tv doesn't work in our room :(

I am so sad. Even my dinky town of Edwardsville doesn't close at 7 pm on Saturday.

    Ahh I'm sorry Mindi someone should have warned you. The town is pretty dead in the summer with school out. It really is a little college town.

    It has been many years but there used to be a cool bar in the "vista" area called the Art Bar that brought in a good alternative crowd for Columbia. Always met some interesting people there.

    I'm sure many pj fans will be arriveing tonight.

    There is also a place called the hunter and gatherer they have their own micro brews it is a nice place to relax and have a beer it is on main street (if i remember correctly)

    7pm? that is early...I have a 24 hour cvs where I am.

    That's odd. I live just outside Greenville, SC and our CVS stores stay open 24 hours.

    Ok things are better tonight. The weather is just beautiful here right now.

    We wandered around 5 Points, found a Rite Aid and bought toothbrushes and toothpaste, YAY!!

    I wanted to get a tattoo on the back of my neck but here they won't do them on your face,neck or head. So my daughter got a big octopus on her leg instead of me getting anything.

    We also met Brad who gave me some donations for the raffle. He was awesomely nice. We met up with him at the tattoo place and he ended up getting a tattoo,LOL!!! Anyway he was so very nice and really has changed our mood about everything.

    I will see everyone at the party tomorrow!
