20 years ago I called a man I wanted to marry a couple times, but he wasn't home. He called me the next day, and he said he would have said yes hahahahahahaha.

He was just being nice in a goofy way. He had a girlfriend, so that wouldn't fly:) It was good to try out even if it was the wrong day with an unavailable man :D

    LOL, I couldn't propose to a man. I just couldn't do it.
I had a roomate in grad school that proposed to her bf (and not on Sadie Hawkins day) and she flew out to Michigan (fromNY) to do it!

and she did not get a ring out of the deal.

I think he did say yes though!

    I guess it does?
    that was 10 yrs ago

oh Pink proposed to her husband, Carey Hart. But they are now divorcing..

I couldn't bother either, I'm super traditional about that, if a man wants to be with me I think he has to ask me that question!

Yeah, you just don't hear of too many doing it. I wondered if it still applied to be honest. Funny little tradition that it is.

It's sad about Pink. I thought things would turn out better for them.

I'm not super traditional or anything, I just don't see me ever finding a bloke that I would know that I wanted to marry. And on the odd occassion when I've been asked myself even though I've said yes at the time, I will always be really grateful that that isn't how my life panned out. Marrying them would have been a huge mistake, one I'm really happy I didn't make.

    ah yes, I can relate.

wait can you ask a man to have a baby with you on this Sadie Hawkins day? :D
that's my regret, not the getting married thing. If I had known I would feel this way at 35 about wanting to have children I would have done it sooner! I need a do-over, Jeanie!

I dunno. You could ask I suppose? :D

It's not too late on the baby Allie. You just have to decide now do or die are you going to have one and do it regardless if that's what you want.

There's no way I'd do over. It was shitful the first time! :D I can just imagine how crappy it would be doing it again! haha! :D

Hee hee. I did decide that, but it's like I said to my Mom, what am I supposed to do, pull a guy off the street and do it like that?! :)

I don't have enough income to have a baby by myself! :)

haha! :D Yeah, I know, that whole turkey baster thing is a lot more complicated than it looks! :D

The income thing was always what stopped me too. I don't mind for myself but I never wanted to bring a kid into a shitty financial situation for their sake.

    the turkey baster! LOL.

    and I agree with you...

but 'I will not lose my faith'
God didn't give me a dream in my heart and the inspiration for the name of my child w/o making a way for it to come true, so no worries :)
