Replying to threads/posts

Hi all

This is something I do a bit without realising, so I thought id throw it open to see anyone else does it:

When you start replying to a thread or post, do you get half way through and think 'ah fuck it' or something similar, and then cancel the reply you had started?

Maybe you get half way through and think this isnt something I feel like posting, or just change your mind?

    Yep. By the time I get a few words into a reply, I forget what the thread was about. Then I scroll down to read the previous post, after which time I've completely forgotten what I was going to say. So I hit back on my browser, and go and read about guitars on the Gearheads forum instead.

    i do ALL the time.....half way through writing the post i get bored and give up....ah add.....such a fun adventure ;):)

    Yeah, I do it but Im thinking I should've done it a lot more! Im sure I would have been gone already if I haven't done it about 10xs or so in the last couple of months or so.
    These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.

    Yeah, I definitely do that. Sometimes it's because I think what I was going to post is stupid. Sometimes I feel that I would reveal too much about my personal life that others don't need to know. Sometimes it's because I might post something that would be a bannable offense and think better than to actually click submit.

    I don't want to sound like a dumb ass, and sometimes what I have written makes me sound like a dumb ass, so I just delete it and move on.

    It doesn't happen that

    you know tim, considering the arbitrariness of some of the bannings im aware of, its not implausible you could get banned for breathing too heavily. :D

    I do this all the time... I write really nasty things, re-read them, and realize that I will blow my sweetness cover if I hit submit reply, so I back out...


    Plus, I don't want to get banned, so I play nice, by backing out.. ::shakes fist:: dammit life!

    i do that sometimes, actually a lot of the time because i feel like something i say is gonna get ripped apart by some of the people on the board so i just get all "mehh fuck it" or sometimes i'll just start typing then feel like, "ugh whatever i dont care anymore"
