One of the activities for my company Christmas party was a wine tasting. I got every flavor wrong. It's SPICY (actually, no it's sweet.) It's kindof ironic since my family made wine in our basement. Anyway, I could see how people could get into wine tasting until . . . they brought out the champagne as a parting taste from the class.

Wine compared to champagne is like Kraft plastic wrapped singles compared to triple cream brie cheese spread on slices of a warm baguette. Why bother, eh? :D

It's all about the bubbly and worth waiting for . . .

    Mmmmm....bubbly... me likey...

    nope.

I'll take a good red wine over a champagne ANY time!
besides the fact it'll cost less, champagne is way overated...and doesn't go down well with many food..
  • What is this thread about? If anyone wants to tell me I'd be very greatful...

Oh, I do like a good red, but for a change I like bubbly.... I don't drink it with food, it's something to sip with conversation and celebration. And, not sure what you buy, but sparkling wine is fairly priced and not that much off a good red.

Oh, and while drinking either, watching PJ is the best accompaniment...

    Cheers!

I'm talking about french price.. and there we don't drink any type of wine much outside meals (just before or just after at most)

I got bad english habits now though :p
but i find the wine here way too expensive as it is..not even considering champagne!!!

My roommate is standing here and I showed her this thread...since wine & PJ are a big part of my routine! Her response, "You gotta be drunk to listen to Pearl Jam". She is NOT a fan.
