Thanks for the kind words. You know, I don't think people realize how easy it would be to become a street person. I've been completely through my savings and have to start trying to sell some of my possesions next. And let's face it, you never receive the value of what something's worth when you sell.

Wow. I have heard that there is a good many people that are just a few paycheques away from the street and if there was one major catastrophe of a financial nature they would be. Hard to believe. Good luck to you!!! I hope you get it and hopefully you can keep all your stuff and start saving again!!

Thanks :) Tis true - and it is one helluva scary feeling. My parents are not alive which is where most folks "rest their head" when they find themselves in this predicament.

I was unemployed for 5 months as well. Got laid off a week before Christmas and finally went back to work May 1. If anything it will turn around. Just be patient and go grab unemployment. Enjoy the time off too. I went from sitting on my butt doing nothing to working over 100 hours a week now. So keep the faith, you'll find the right job at the right time.

Hey, good luck to you :) I'm still trying to get a job as well... I technically haven't been employed for over 12 months... I've done some volunteering and odd jobs, but started looking around March this year and really struggling financially. I got a job offer a week ago and now they're stalling over the fact I need a work visa (which they said they'd sponsor from the beginning)... I'm a little over it and very close to moving back to Canada. It sucks!

Good luck!!! I know the feeling of hurting for money.

I quit my job which I passionately hated in late Feb to travel around Australia. I returned to the States in April to find the economy in the shitter and have been searching for a job ever since. Doesn't help that I want to leave my field (advertising).

yeah no kidding. I'm sure I could find family or friends to stay with if it came to that, but it's scary, and all it takes is a lay off.

hope you get this job. can you get something, anything in the time being? like retail or waiting tables or anything just for a bit of extra dough? (although I guess if you're on unemployment you wouldn't want to do that...)

I was unemployed from August to December of last year. I actually enjoyed the time of as I would get up whenever, go to the gym, basically do whatever I wanted. Then I started panicking and took a job I knew I wouldn't like, and lo and behold, I hate my fucking job.

My advice is don't take a job you know you won't like just because you feel you have to.

Hang in there bud, times are tough nowadays.
Get whatever job or money you can just to get by.

    Best of luck!

Thanks for all the love guys :). It really made my day when I got up this morning and saw all the great posts! Especially great to hear from you Dollpartz and 5th element.

On another note, - can't get unemployment - haven't been in Texas long enough. Hell, I don't even qualify for food stamps! - I own a car and don't have any kids.

Thanks again guys for all the good vibes. PJ fans are THE BEST.

I hear ya, finished my degree in April and have been looking for a good place to start a career since, and I'm still looking, its tough that's for sure, but I guess you just got to look at it positively and envision yourself remembering what you are doing right now, which may not seem like much and majorly frustrating, when you have a job and are stressed about that. You might laugh at how you feel now some day in the near future
