well the 1st stop I make in Philly I'm staying with peeps. Then next stop I might see if I can get up with Bob in Delaware and then Virginia maybe Joey, and after that Carolina I'm gonna see Matt and Heather for a bit and hopefully some old friends from back in the day along the way. I AM packing a sleeping back on my bike rack in the back this time and am using this as my routes:

    http://www.traillink.com/viewnationalmap.aspx

its old railroads transformed to bike trails and at least will be traveling safer and staying at campgrounds. Got it all planned out at least till Georgia...gotta figure out which way Im gonna cut across west after that.

Anyways, website will be ready tomorrow and I'll be linking it to websites and people along the way. I'm looking to hit up Philly by tomorrow nite so I'm thinking about heading out tonite in the early hours around 5-6am

hahah, who said I would be coming back? I might just get stuck out in San Diego or Vegas, or Seattle....we'll see. :D

Touchofgray...I'm already in New Brunswick about to hit up a 66 mile bike trail all the way thru to philly as we speak. I got lucky and found a wifi spot by a NJ public library ;) anyways the website for donations and all that other stuff like pics, blogs, etc should be up today. Email I got yest told me it was a go and I'd be getting some material to help me and a tee shirt or 2. I'm gonna have them send it to one of my boys house in philly so by tomorrow I should be out spreading the word and hopefully raising money for the CCFA. btw-ALL donations are going to CCFA, I'm not getting anything out of this. I got my own lil funds that if I budget myself right should last me the whole trip food wise and drinkwise. On the contract I sent back my goal was to raise 50,000 in 2 months or so of riding and spending time at hospitals, events, etc. I got plenty of friends that are down with the Wishlist Foundation like taper, sennin, SEN, etc so I think with a lil help from everyone we can do this.

thanx everyone for the wishes and thoughts. ;)

I hope to hit up DC by tomorrow and try to get some action and get people info and the web link. Just left Delaware and into Maryland just outside of the Susquehanna river...that should be a trip to see!

you should bypass DC, there's nothing going on there.. but seriously the views of the Susquehanna are impressive.

He hung out in the city of Wilmington at my house. We hit up Tijuana Taco on Lancaster Ave. Best place around! We should hit that up, too, my2hands.
I also burdened him with my vegetarian cooking. :D

He took off out of the city on Union street, to Newark and beyond.

Nothing like an early start at 3:00 pm. I get early starts like that, too!

X-man, I just feel in DC I'll be able to get people to check it out and hand out some flyers and stuff and its populated with people with money so we'll see. I'm actually off towards the Susquehanna in a bit...just found wifi and logged on for a bit. Stay tuned for pics from there soon. Hopefully tonite.

my2hands if you go see Bob, just make SURE you go up 8th street..if you up the other way up that hill..you'll die...either from the ridiculous incline or from the homies down the block trying to sell you drugs, lol...Bob's hood reminds me of Do or Die Bed Stuy (Bedford Stuyvesant ghetto in NY,)

  • Stickboy....I'm very impressed, and proud of my fellow Yankee lover/Red Sox hater. I thought I might refrain from posting in the Yankee thread until your mission is complete, in a show of solidarity. I don't know if I'm strong enough to do it though. Good luck the rest of the way. One day I'd love to travel from coast to coast and back again. I can pretty much guarantee you it won't be on a bike, though.

hey thanx West Islip! ;) I been wanting to it up the Yankees thread but time is limited so I get in wherever I can. I got some time now keeping track of the football games here online so I might just see what I been missing in our Yankees thread ;)

And I thank you for the wishes bro...def much appreciated. Maybe someday I can convince you to ride as far as you possibly can in some other charity event...biking it isnt that bad as long as you pace yourself, eat and hydrate properly. I still dont feel sore yet or nothing and am enjoying each day as a new adventure, new territory and new grounds to look forward to ;)
