Rosemary’s Baby Remake

Planet Dune is talking about re-making the “classic” film Rosemary’s Baby, the original is about a young newly married couple who moves into an apartment building and later find out that they’re going to have a baby, that’s where the weird stuff begins. Personally I don’t think the movie is that good and I certainly don’t think it warrants a re-make, it’s not even a good story, for years I always heard how good a movie Rosemary’s Baby was and when I finally watched it, I had a hard time keeping my eyes open half way through the movie. Unless there’s some sort of social commentary I’m missing, the movie is pretty much pointless.
It’s like the whole H.P. Lovecraft thing, all you hear is how scary his stories are, but they’re not even a little bit scary, in fact I thought they were quite boring. Lovecraft had a great imagination, the creature he came up with were outstanding and his stories make excellent movies, Dagon, Dreams in a Witch House, The Re-Animator, all great sci-fi/horror movies, but as far as reading the stories on paper they will put you out faster than Tylenol PM.
Anyway, back to the topic, Lord knows production companies are hard pressed to produce a re-make that is better than the original; they either suck donkey balls or end up being a carbon copy of the original and if that’s going to be the case, what’s the point?

I think a remake would be kind of dumb. Look how well 'The Omen' turned out. Blech.
The Omen is the second worst re-make of all, Halloween being the first.
