I can't use those IMDB message boards because they're filled with a bunch of 14 year old nerds and 40 year old virgins who are flooding the Dark Knight board with bullshit. so help me out here.
the scene where Joker dresses like a nurse and confronts Harvey in the hospital; Joker sets off explosives on his way out blowing up the hospital. I forget though, do they show him untying Dent and Dent getting out before the explosions or are we just to assume Dent gets out unscathed.

That part was very funny, btw.
I remember him fiddling around with what appeared to be straps that Dent was tied down with in the bed, so I assume he loosened them so that he could escape

He untied both. He first untied his right hand and immediately Dent went after the Joker. The Joker grabbed his hand and went about manipulating him. The Joker then untied Dent's left hand and handed him the gun.

Nuclear fission
That was the only thing I did not like about the movie. he could have easily killed everyone else in the room.
Nuclear fission
The Joker allowed Dent to place a gun to his head and goaded him to pull the trigger to ensure "more chaos" as "at least chaos was fair" (for all parties) according to the Joker.
The impression is that he (Dent) died, though, as the hospital exploded probably 10 times more than what the audience thought it was going to be.
We all admit that we are not (that) surprised to see dent alive afterwards.

yeah I wasn't surprised at all that Dent lived. I knew he'd be prominent later on. I was really just wondering if there was a scene actually showing Dent leaving the hospital because I forgot. I remember the part where he puts the gun to Joker's head.

what the frig does it say on Gordons phone????
why did they make that so tiny? obvoiusly, it was info about the cops...but it was like large enough where they wanted us to read it, but too small to be insignificant....saw it twice, and even knowing i wanted to read the text, still couldnt catch it
routine was the theme..
there aint gonna be any middle any more
it was warning him of any cops who might have family at any of the hospitals...
then it gave two names...one of which was obviously the cop riding with Gordon.

hi Esther, now we are all going to be sick, thanks
"Watch your back"
"Cops with families in hospitals"
The next text message list the cops name sitting in front of gordan. I can't remember what his name was though.

I hear ya. I have a few issues with the plot development. What got me was the part when that caravan of cars is being chased and fired at by the joker. The police helicopter following in tandem surely would have a chain gun rockets or something considering it's Gotham, and should have fired at the jokers car. The helicopter just seemed to disappear out of the chase....I don't remember seeing any underground bridges...

Didn't they go underground? Then when they came back up, Joker's goons took out the helicopter.
nowadays hits you when you're young
that's not so much of a plot thing. more like just a simple error. you're not supposed to notice things like that! that's one where Nolan notices it but says to himself "fuck it, I've got Joker firing bazookas so who cares?"
as far as the plot goes, and this is just me, but I could have totally lived without Rachel and the love triangle. I think that Dent as the DA was a strong enough story to stand on it's own. Batman had enough going on with the Mob's guy in Hong Kong and Joker. then, they could have turned Dent earlier into two face and give his character more of a chance to develop. he was pretty easily swayed by Joker to just be "evil" for lack of a better term.
I suggested this the other night and someone said that Dent needs Rachel and her death so he has a reason to be totally pissed off. but I replied that maybe it can be directly be Batman's fault that Dent became deformed (in the vein of Batman dropping Joker into the acid in the Tim Burton movie) and then Harvey Two-Face would have reason to directly go after Batman, rather than settling for Gordon and his family.
but whatever, the movie was fucking great!

yea. afterall, it was filmed in chicago. i was takin for a ride last year on that road. i thnk it's underground or just under another road or something. people from chicago help us out.
Esther's here and she's sick?
hi Esther, now we are all going to be sick, thanks
I'm not from chicago but when they see the semi that's been set on fire the radio tells them to take a new route through the lower fifth. When the radio tells them this one of the drivers makes a comment that had something to do with being trapped down there or something. You then you see the convoy head down the center road, which led to the underground road.
oh yea! speaking of plot development/holes...when that semo was on fire there was definitely a way around that. there was plenty of room for the convoy to get around, it wasn't completely blocked off.
and you know what pissed me off? i never do this with movies which means that it was there for me to notice...
oh well.
Esther's here and she's sick?
hi Esther, now we are all going to be sick, thanks
I was wondering why they just didn't take street for oncoming traffic. But whatever. If they did that we never would have seen the batmobile fucking JUMP to save Dent and then we never would have had the fucking awesome bat bike.
haha! very true!

Is the same street used in the Blues Brothers chase.
Its lower wacker drive. (Yes, there is upper wacker drive)
In the movie, they call it lower fifth.
