    yeeeah haha oh well. I guess I can't say I didn't see it coming...I worked at a Ford Dealership in the service department and its been DEAD.

    My work is getting ready to do the same. 1% company wide and I'm not sure how many of our campus is going to be laid off :(

    Yet in BC there's Help Wanted and Now Hiring signs everywhere...what the hell is going on?

    And very sorry you lost your job...The auto industry is really taking a hit....now Ford and GM are looking for a bailout, as they will be "out of money" in a couple of months... Ontario has become a "have not" province for the first time ever... car factories closing and cutting shifts....blehhhh!

    That's a real bummer, man. We had 300 layoffs in three days last week. One guy in our building had been with the company for 25 years. Scary shit.

    I'm very sorry! Getting laid off sucks. Good luck finding a new job. You worked at your old job for 4 years so at least you have that in your favor.

    well I should be good...at least until Ford Motor Company goes completely under. I got hired at another Ford Dealership as a SYNC specialist...its a 1/2 hour drive but whatever I guess

    I am so sorry. that sucks. you know, there is something so wrong with the economy when we know this stuff happens, big politiicans of all sides give us these fancy equations, but even the most basic mathematician (me) knows that there is a huge problem when people are losing their jobs, losing their homes,getting finance companies to be able to hunt them down for 32% interest in some cases, need a college education to get a decent job----that even then sometimes is not lose proof (i.e., bank managers are like water), but college costs so much and while it is beneficial to have a well rounded education by all means, to get a degree to do the job you would like to as a career, is full of classes that don't even apply to the job itself and cost all that much more to attend school.

    I sincerely hope you find something you enjoy and that makes good money very soon. I also hope in the meantime you are financially able to make til you are hired again.
