I've never been interested in them (after all, I'm a youngin) but the other day someone messaged me a personals ad from her friend's myspace and we've been talking through email since.

Thing is, she's hot, an artist, still in school, and for some reason interested in me.

I've no real specific question to ask, but I'd appreciate comments.

It's like as soon as I turned 18 older women started to love me. :p

(the ages (supposedly) are 18 (me) and 22.)
Come on pilgrim you know he loves you..

I know a few people who met their significant other online. Nothing wrong with that - times are changing! You just need to be a bit more careful. If you are not chatting to someone face-to-face, it is easy to make up a persona (you can also 'in real' but then cannot lie about age, etc.).

If you do get on and are to meet, make sure it is during the day and somewhere very public.

    Good luck.

I say invite them over to watch videos. It's a safe, great way to get to know somebody.

  • I've gotten most (hmm if not all) of my relationships from match.com. At 18 it seems it a little odd though. Once you're out of school and stuff it's hard to meet people in real life, so that's when it gets more useful to use personals.

and yes, a lot of women like younger men. I am certainly one of them!

It wasn't her on the myspace. That's not an issue this time. :)

I just got out (literally, yesterday) of some sort of relationship with a 20 year old too. You cougars are going to overwhelm me. ;)

When and how are you going to be able to verify your own age?

Haha. that was excellent, and true.

When I'm able to truly realize who I am. Maybe I can go on a spiritual journey, meet myself, and ask me for my drivers liscence. Though it might say 81 because, chances are, he'll be from a parrellel universe where everything is reversed.

Sorry I couldn't tell if you were joking about the way I formed that sentence ;). If it was a serious question, she's probably just going by the honor system, which isn't a problem seeing as how I am of legal age.

how come when i say that it just makes me a creep? :)

anyway, like has been said... beware the myspace angles. though ive had mostly positive experiences with meeting people from online.

and the movie night at home thing is classic :D
  • how come when i say that it just makes me a creep? :)

what the younger thing? Well first of all, I'm not talking about dating college students or anything, I just seem to have better experiences with guys in their 20s rather than guys in their 30s. I have more in common with a guy a few years younger than me. My last boyfriend was 4 years younger than me.
