  • I'm torn. I honestly think nobody deserves it more this season than Tim Tebow, but I kinda like the fact that the only 2-time winner went to my alma mater ;)

I'm biased too but Tebow? blehgh. he did alright the last few games but his first half of the season was kinda average.

to be honest colt Mccoy is more valuable to his team than Bradford. Bradford has a running game, 5 receivers including Gresham....Mccoy has nobody.

But colt Mccoy threw a huge pic in the Tech game, Bradford has come through in almost every big game.

    So vote for Sam.

    Shonn Greene. (Jr)

Has the the most yards in all of football, had a 100 yards every game this year...with a pretty bad offensive line on a team that had a better season than the numbers have shown.

    Shonn Greene for Heisman!

I give Tebow credit for the way he took the blame for Ole Miss and rallied his entire team around him to become the most dominating team in all of college football. Nobody seems more crucial to their team than he does.

Colt McCoy gets a similar nod from me.

Bradford has a strong case as well though.

As to Shonn Greene, no doubt he was the best running back this year, but he sadly doesn't stand a chance given how under the radar Iowa has been. He might really surprise some people in the bowl game.

does anyone else think florida and Tebow are overrated? They are playing well, but Tebow's first half of the season was a joke, and Florida really isn't that good compared to any of the top 3 Big 12 teams. They'll beat Bama, but shit, Tebow? Tebow for heisman? really...

McCoy always put his team in a position to win this year. I am not a huge Texas fan, but Tebow got tackled against Ole Racist, and Bradford didn't get it done against Texas when it was in his hands. It's pretty simple to me on this one, and we normally agree on everything commy.

that's true. But I still can't see how they can deny Bradford if he throws 4 TD's against Mizzou and goes on to beat Florida for the NT. His numbers are insane as it is.

I agree McCoy has done well all year.

Tebow's first half was not a joke, by any means. the reason you might think that is because of the young players on the O-Line that were learning on the go. It was obvious during the game against the Hurricanes. and in no way is Florida overrated as a team, and this is coming from someone who goes to Florida STATE.

you sir, are too biased in this conversation. When 3 Big 12 quarterbacks are putting up ridiculous numbers, I think that says a hell of a lot more about the Big 12 defenses than about the quarterbacks.

that's true. and yeah, OU plays on a field named after my great grampa, I can't help being biased.

Still, OU beat TCU, cinci, non conference ranked teams, maybe not with 60+ points like they've been doing, but still, they've been putting up numbers all year, even against non big 12 teams. and a lot of that was Bradford. RB Murray didn't really play as well as he should have been playing until just recently.

I think Tebow deserved the Heiman last year for sure, but this year?

last year, no doubt. this year, there's more competition, but I still think it's his. no other player in football can run a PLAY-ACTION WITH NO RUNNING BACK, that in itself is ridiculous. he's the biggest threat as a quarterback, he can either launch it 50 yards or run your ass over, and he could probably do both on the same play.

Play action with no running back lol, that's true too.

I think we'll get to see who is better. I see Florida beating Alabama and OU beating Mizzouri, which should put them both in the National championship game. (as long as Hawaii doesn't beat Cinci and fuck up the computer rankings between OU and Texas)

if OU beats Mizzou, they're in, I think regardless of what Hawaii does. same goes for UF beating Bama, in no matter what.

I really wish that the Heisman voting was done after all the bowl games. I'd guarantee that Troy Smith wouldn't have won the Heisman after getting massacred by UF in the title game.

O shit I thought they did vote after the bowl games. Think McCoy will win it for sure, unless Tebow or Bradford do something outstanding in their conference championship games.

if I heard correctly earlier today (well, yesterday), they vote on the 10th and the presentation is on the 13th. something like that. I don't know why they do it like this.

oh yeah most def it's early. I think it's so the award goes to the regular season, b/c it was given out back when college football had some semblance of being a part of higher education instead of higher athletics. Back then they didn't have 32 bowls I'm pretty sure of, so they should change it but never will of course.
