He's also right about working out for longer..."20 minutes a day" is not enough if your goal is to burn fat. You have to keep your heart rate elevated for at least 30 minutes straight for the exercise to have a noticeable effect on fat burning.
You know why all the commercials for exercise equipment say "only 20 minutes, 3 times a week", or "8-minute abs"? Because telling people they have to work harder and longer doesn't sell
