I have it and love it. I just finished beating single player for the second time. I recommend playing single player first before diving into multiplayer. It gets pretty harsh if you haven't honed your skills. There's already a new COD in the works. Check it out on their website.

    I love COD

My brother and Dad are really into it too, so we set up a huge Lan in my house and every now and again about 15 people come over and we play multiplayer til about 7 in the morning! It's unreal! :D

  • COD4 was too "bang bang terrorists" "shoot the arabs" for me, and the local campaign was noticeably way too short.

I found COD2 to be still better by far
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

I started playing Brother In Arms on p.c yesterday. Not overly impressed. Too much like Medal of Honour.
    Is Call Of Duty better??

I miss playing Battlefield. I need to get me another copy.

    Battlefield modern combat? System?

And by the way, have you seen Battlefield: Bad Company?

    No.
    Battlefield 1942, and Battlefield 2.

    Best games I ever played.

You can kill your enemy with a knife, a gun, a grenade. You can drive jeeps, trucks, cars, tanks. You can fly helicopters, WWII planes, F16's, e.t.c. You can fight in Europe, the pacific, Iraq, e.t.c. The list goes on. Fucking best way to kill 10 hours.

    Besides Halflife/2/team fortress/Counter Strike/ETC

CoD4 is sooooo much fun. Probably the most BADASS of the FPS genre. It's really spiced up, with Helicopter mini-gun levels, sniper levels, bombing levels. Its a ton of fun. For all of you considering getting it, DO IT!

I might grab a copy on your recommendation. Games are cheap as fuck over here. The equivalent of £1.50, or $3.

Battlefield 2 is mostly set in the Middle East. And you can play as the Iraqi's and shoot up some Yankees! :D

Wait till your pinned down waiting on a chopper in what seems for an eternity with you and a wounded comrade trying to fend off a company of infantry. I bet I played that level 20 times before I beat it. Both times I played the game. :(

The single player was short, but I don't think most people bought the game for single player.

The multiplayer COD4 is really, really fun!
I don't have it for PC, rather PS3 and I play it quite a bit. There are a few of us from the board that play it on PS3.
