I just heard you had one a few minutes ago! Appliances suddenly coming on and everything. Everyone okay? :)

    There's an old fella in Bellingham with his own weather station who says there was one!

    Yep, it was in the Fairhaven area. It was 86mph and lasted for about thirty seconds. The neighbourhood were scared and went to the ole fella with the weather station. I think he should get himself on the TV! :)

    From what I'm being told on AIM tonight, people seem to be. Just a bit shocked. The old fella is the father of dyaogirl who posts here. :)

    Apparently people all came out of their houses to see what was happening. No abducted cows or anything huge, it would appear.

    Nope. It is a bit windy but not that windy. lol Kind of a strange day though with thunderstorms this am. :)

    I didn't hear about it in the news. I got it from the horse's mouth, from a weather station (I mean an engineered house station for reading the weather) in a neighbourhood around Fairhaven. dyaogirl's offline now, so I have no further info for tonight.

    Interesting. We're both right by Fairhaven. I'd love to hear more when you find out. :) At first I assumed you meant Bellingham in the UK. :D

    Often these tornadoes can just tear down one street! That happened here in the UK last year, somewhere up north I think.

    wtf? my windows face that part of town and i didn't see anything...in fact the only dark clouds that i saw were to the NE. we did get a few intense wind gusts a couple of hours ago....but nothing near as that strong

    It only JUST got windy and rainy here...Thunder's been rolling around for a couple of hours, but no actually storm yet....No whitecaps on the bay, either....but it DID look pretty stormy your way this AM....no Mt. Baker to view.....

    Maybe it was just a "dust devil"...sometimes we see those in grocery store parking lots, etc...
