damm what a great combo specially with release being dedicated to Luke Russert with his father passing the day before fathers day whoaaa that's some emotional stuff there .....

  • I agree. I actually cried, which I didn't suspect I would, during the performance of Release. It gave me chills. Eds voice was so perfect that night. When they played Alive I couldn't hear Ed over the crowd around me, but now that I can truly hear him on the boots its one of the better versions Ive heard. Killer combo. Release during the encore was incredible.
    My first PJ show to witness was at Bonnaroo. How is that for lucky?

    Ed was drunk, and he was not perfect. I have the bootleg and I love it. But Ed had to much wine and it affected his vocals slightly. All along the watchtower was great but listen to him sing, he is off. I love Ed and the band and I will listen to this bootleg at least 30 more times before I put it on the shelf but the truth is ed was off an a few songs.

    I think 'release' really benefited from being played later in the set when they are all fully warmed up.

  • I think Release into ALive should become a staple. it should be a combo. they just fit together perfectly,
