my son's NCP thought it'd be a goood idea to buy him a games system. he also thought it'd be a good idea to buy my 10 year old son that san andreas game. needless to say i am not happy. anyhoo i need ideas for age appropriate games. i'd like games where the players go a quest of some kind, where he has to use his brain. i dont want suggestions of mindless shooting games. thanks. :)

  • you should get him a wii. a lot more games that are age appropriate for your son are made for nintendo. the mario games, zelda games, which are definitely quest games, and lots more.

There are a lot of games for PS2 and PS3 that are not bloody/violent.

Lots of sports games...Ratchet and Clank on PS3 is a TON of fun and would be great for a 10 year old.
  • Harry Potter? We bought it for the nephews.

    Zelda? I think that's on PS1? I'm sure there's lot's out there. :)

I'll be honest, I couldn't give 2 figs for gaming, I lost interest after pacman! But Spyro the dragon is apparently good, my lad likes them, he's getting a new one for christmas.

I'm pretty sure you can find something out there. The best thing to do is ask the staff. They're all geeks and can give you a good answer. They know their stuff!

    Good luck. :)
  • Guitar Hero III, is all he needs!

I really enjoyed Crash when I was younger. Maybe your little one will also?!
