I think it was a high water mark in terms of quality of shows and in terms of impact on culture. These shows shaped us, exactly how, I cant describe but they altered me, and I would say everyone growing up at that time.

Doug, The rugrats, Rocko's modern life, Hey Dude, pete and pete, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, My Brother and Me, Alex Mack, Ren and Stimpy, salute your shorts, Clarissa explains it all, snick.

i remember they always had cool halloween shows on.

we are all spoiled in that reguard. the shows today, even on modern nickelodeon pale to what we were able to witness growing up.

Nick was great. Out of those you mentioned, I miss Doug the most. I would be so happy to turn on the TV and hear the familiar "Do do do do do do do do do" theme.

    Pinwheel, pinwheel, spinning around
Look in my pinwheel and see what I've found...

That will never leave my head.

I didn't know Nick was gone. That's sad. I watched it all the time as a kid. Even Nick at Night when they would show things like My Three Sons. I've seen more of those old sitcoms than anyone my age should.

Ren & Stimpy was great! .....the old fashioned cheesey animation was funny in itself a long with all the great little jingles they would use for background music. And of course all kids love
