Only for Windows right now, so I'm only trying it on one of my computers. In some ways it's pretty cool, in others not so much. My initial impression is that I'd say I like Firefox better right now.
I'm a big fan of the Ad Block Plus extension for Firefox, and this one doesn't seem to have that. I'm also a list person and I don't really like the way that Chrome displays bookmarks.
In general, I do like the concept though, since I do not use any software on my personal computer except a browser and this is designed to work for that purpose (and also with all the Google programs I already use).

i installed this the other day. i cannot compare it firefox, never used it, but its a little better than IE. more screen space, less clutter on the top and bottom, i like how you can put your favorite bookmarks up top, but i've found its still a little buggy. certain things while surfing the web don't work properly that should for some reason. i had trouble with hotmail, it always asks me to upgrade, and playing videos on certain sites like youtube, i can't move the little control thing for the volume or position, few other small things here and there, but its enough to keep me using IE for now :(

Get Firefox. IE sucks in comparison. Chrome has some work to do. I found it cumbersome and agree with the person about the bookmarks.

That's not a bug with the browser, Hotmail just doesn't recognize Chrome so it thinks you need a different browser. In fact, I'd bet that the vast majority of problems are exactly that.
Chrome is outstanding under the hood, and there are a lot of cool ideas in the interface. I'm sure it'll be great when it goes final.

I almost got it the other day, then decided I didn't want to fuck with it. And Yeah, I have been a Firefox user for years, and do not see myself changing that.
idk but i heard it was a bootlegged, scaled down version of firefox from one of my high school teachers.
Ha! Some people just shouldn't talk about things they don't understand. It's open source software, the whole point is to use and build off of what other people have done. They took a few features from Firefox, but that's it. It's much closer to Safari since it uses the WebKit rendering engine, but nearly everything else is custom built.
If you really want to know more about it, read this comic book style introduction of it:
It's aimed at developers, so you may not understand all of it, but I think you should be able to get the gist.

I have used Chrome and, while I'm an early adopter and would love to switch to it, sadly it is not ready for primetime yet. Hangs up, no plug-ins, etc.
