CD Burning problems

I have a dell inspiron laptop. I have a cd burner, and it seems like it may be time for a new one. But just wanted to make sure thats what you all thought the problem was the same

I cant burn cd's. I have tried burning via Windows Media, Roxio, and Real Player and they all refuse to burn the cd for me.

Anyone have any idea what could be the problem. I have no trouble playing cd's and watching dvd's, its just I cant burn.

    I have a dell inspiron laptop too and I have had problems using roxio to burn cds but I can usually use media player. Im guessing it may be the hardware and not the software in your case. But I don't know. Im sorry I can't help.
    These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.

    Get on Dell's website and grab the latest driver for the CD-R.
