Sony DVD problems

I have a sony dvd and sony tv. I put my dvd in the player, and hit the "tv/video" button and what it takes me to is just a blank page. The dvd is running and you can hear the movie playing just fine, you can hear the dialogue, but its just blank.

any ideas?
