Anyone into it?

I obviously know my sign, Pisces, but just a minute ago for the first time ever, checked on what traits pisces people share. I was stunned that it pretty much describes me to a T.

I dont know about astrology in general, and have never really read my horoscope except for maybe on my birthday or something, but anyone else into it?

Does your sign fit your personality?

yes. but i think a lot of what you see out there is generalized in a big way. there is something to it though when done right and in detail. i had a detailed reading done by an astrologist once and it was unbelievable the things she told me. way beyond just a few personality similarities. she even went into events about my childhood, my present (at the time) and my future. just from giving her my birth date, time and location? wild. and she was dead on...no generalizations or guesses.

and yes i think most traits that supposedly go with my sign do match my personality.

i don't put any stock into those daily horoscopes that you read in newspapers

but i definitely believe in astrology and the influence of planetary transits/ geometrical relationships between planets

here's a good book i have read lately on such matters: http://www.cosmosandpsyche.com/

and here's a good jung quote on astrology, "Our psyche is set up in accord with the structure of the universe, and what happens in the macrocosm likewise happens in the infinitesimal and most subjective reaches of the psyche.”

i have also found my natal chart reading to be pretty accurate
..and you will come to find that we are all one mind, capable of all that's imagined and all conceivable

i know nothing about space, but my sis who is an astrophysicist said to me basically-

"astrology is the biggest load of crap ever. their basis of understanding of space, stars and planets is entirely flawed"

    i choose to believe her!

  • I agree that some of it can be spookily accurate, but daily horoscopes are the biggest load of rabbit-crap in the world. Like a three sentence prediction could apply to EVERY Libra in the world on that day. :p

    *shrug*

your either into it or not - its a belief that been around a long time, but so's Christianity, and the debate could go on for pages there too

i had both my kids charts drawn up when they were born - reading over them thru the years, the charts have described them almost exactly - even from birth to the way they are now 10 yrs down the road - and on into adulthood (tho that remains to be seen how accurate that turns out)
but the accuracy so far is really quite astounding

i am also a very classic cancerian, hard to get to know, shy, moody, sensitive, and i truly do seem to go a bit bonkers in line with the moon, which is suppose to be my ruling planet - although i also have one hell of a bossy, demanding, and attention demanding streak in me too, which is very un-cancer like. If you follow astrology closely, it will explain that we also display traits of out moon, mercury, venus and mars sign - the position of these planets at the time of our birth - often just as strongly as our sun sign.

a good astrologer i read is
    http://www.cainer.com/
he is sometimes so spookily accurate its been like he's been trolling round inside my head before he types his forecast.

but if your really interested, it is worthwhile getting a chart drawn up.

Im a Libra, I think I fit the profile but sometimes I read my horoscope and it sounds nothing like me. It's hit or miss. I really don't invest too much into it.
