Why, when players are injured, and are in attendance at the game, on the bench, cheering their teammates on, do the announcers say “he or she is in street clothes”, almost everytime they say that they pan to an athlete in a fancy suit and tie. Is that really what they wear when they grab a soda at the local store or whatever? Are those street clothes?
And what do Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson have or wear on their upper arms, they look like colored leg warmers but worn not on the legs but on the arm. What are they?

Street Clothes is just slang for "not wearing you uniform" Most players do not wear suits to go grab a soda. They wear a ball cap and hoodie.
The sleeves on the arm are just neoprene sleeves used mainly to stabalize the elbow and to protect against abrasions, court burns etc. .
