Just finished the book. dont know what to say. had been meaning to rea dit since it came out.

the book gave off a sense of lost innocence. Several pasages talked about merely looking at the young boy and seeing in his face something that was lost and gone forever. I think the last passage said something similar.

Hell of a book.

i couldn't stop thinking about this book for a long time after reading it. loved it.

I think I WOULD have been blown away by it normally... but I followed it with Papillon and there was NO contest. I found I couldn't put it down... but I think that was mainly cos I THOUGHT something was gonna happen... but not cos I really cared

My thoughts exactly. I liked it...but didn't love it.

There is a movie coming out with Viggo Mortenson in it...around November I think.

I liked it, but thought that every other book of his I've read is better: All the pretty horses, Blood Meridian, No country for Old men, & The crossing.
