but I love their culture and history
and a nice branston pickle sandwich
EDIT:
In fact I would be grateful for anyone that would send me some!
except for that brief time in the mid eighties, when I was a huge fan of everything Russian. (I was like 10)
I used name the ruling Kings/Queens from William I onward...hahahaa
wow, talk about embarrassing...I wished I had an English accent.
but my gramps was a little miffed about it all hahahahaa...he's Scottish.
Your just full of questions tonight. Are you bored? To answer your question, I am a bit of an Anglophile, although I admit when I was little younger, i.e sixteen, I was a total Anglophile. This has paid off immensely in that wonderful British institution fondly known as the pub quiz. Our team won again tonight. Yay team! Btw I'm a Canadian studying here for a year. Another thing that I have learned since I've come here is that there is no such thing as drinking too many pints. Yay pints! By the by, it's "rye and coke" not whisky and pepsi . . . big difference!
Cheers!
Scottish accents are waaaaaay better! Although the Northern English accents are pretty cool as well except the 'pit' accents, I can barely understand one word in ten. A Scottish burr, an Irish lilt and an English . . . what? It's amazing how regionalised accents are here. I think I am finally learning to define a North Yorkshire from a Mancurian, from a Geordie accent. Btw teenage girls are incomprehensible regardless of their accents.

I plan to live in New York and Paris and die in Scotland
here in oz you can soemtimes distinguish between different states and naturally you can tell a country person by the way they talk. but not as much as england. or the US. nowhere near as much actually.

And it's only going to get worst when Chuck assumes the throne.
all in all though, TODAY, it's not half a bad country at all although I'm still confused about how anyone could love English history

Wooohooo....I can't wait Helen!!!
I know it's strange but rost dinners, a fry up, a shepherd's pie, the Wellington beef, Marmite, cheddar...yummers!! I have to say that I have been with an English man whose mother was a chef so I used to have proper Gordon Ramsey food...but if you want a pizza...what topping? Parma ham and rocket (my favourite!!!)???

I was born there but we moved when I was 2. I am an American citizen now, but quite proud of my heritage.
So yes I am an anglophile, and I want a pie and chips too.
