    I've always had short hair, and now I've decided to grow it out. I need to do it eventually, so why not now? And like you, my hair is in the "transition phase." It's easy to say: "why don't I just cut it," but that's too easy. And boring. I'm gonna let it go, and I highly suggest you keep growing it out until you're satisfied!

    cut it.........then once you're "in," let it grow like a hippie again. I had mine buzzed in August when I got my first job outta college, and let it grow for a while afterwards.

    I had longer hair, not as long as some people though. A lot of people think it's weird, but I thought the same thing when debating on cutting my hair. I went through all these changes but it had been there with me. I know where you're coming from and that was important to me.

    I decided to cut it. The first week was incredibly awful, I hated it a lot. By the second and third week, I actually preferred how it looked.

    Either way, do what you want. If you DO cut it, it will grow back. Besides, if you do cut it you'll learn it's not what sets you apart, but those ideals you picked up will stick with you. :)
