Well, are we considering what they SHOULD read....or what they WANT to read?

    Animal Farm

    A Seperate Peace

Harry Potter maybe? Or are they too cool by teen years. Is that the book that hit adult and kid generations but skipped most teens?

On the Road, what an awesome book to give to a 15 year old. I probably would have been a better person at that age had I read it then.

I pfft on it too. I've never opened one. I have a disliking for JKR.

However, I was just basing it off the popularity and all the people I know that have read them. Ugh, so many of them!

To inspire his rebel/drug induced years you could get him some Hunter S. Thompson.

I would also recommend The Outsiders and To Kill a Mockingbird.

I would like to add that it wasn't until a couple years ago that I finally read TKaMB....and was blown away! That is one damn good book!
