A Man For All Seasons <--movie

I took a college course about medieval women. So awesome.
See if you can get some of the recordings of Hlidegarde of Bingen's work.
Also Chaucer's The Legend of Good Women and Memoirs of a Medieval Woman, that one is specifically about Margery Kempe. (the 2nd is not by Chaucer)
There is also alot written on Abelarde and Heloise...2 lovers There is a book of their love letters.

The Scrubs finale was loosely based on the Princess Bride so you might want to start with the book and the movie if it interested you.

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Good movie. The director's cut is far superior to the theatrical release.

I would suggest the 1938 version with Errol Flynn. I couldn't say it's a better version, but it's the most famous.

    Army of Darkness! :p

In seriousness though...some historically accurate medieval films are...

    Henry V
    The Name of the Rose

Excalibur is a pretty good one too and Willow if you like the fantasy ones and pick up some Tolkien books as well.

There's a couple more movies, I just can't think of 'em right now.
I have a feeling this thread will turn into the "Medieval Fantasy Movie/Book Thread" instead. :)

As far as films go, Kurosawa's period films such as Seven Samurai, Rashomon and Ran are all set in the japanese medieval period. They are also all stunning.
