My bro think Giada is smokin'. She's got a nice rack and she can cook, I'll give her that.

    Alton Brown is the only decent thing about that network. But then again I don't need direction really when it comes to cooking. Anthony Bourdain is also awesome though he ditched them, and thank doG.

    I can't wait to see the Next Food Network star winner Aaron with his new show Big Daddys House. It's on this Sunday at 1:30PM. I thought for sure Lisa was gonna win, I was shocked when it was Aaron.

    Food network is just so blah these days, I hardly watch any of the chefs anymore.

    Throwdown and Tyler Florence are cool shows and I love to watch Giada do just about anything-but the rest are just awful.

    My new favorite TV chef is Hubert Keller

    But Hubert Keller, Daisy cooks, Americas test kitchen, Ming Tsai, Lydia's Italy-all on PBS are soooo much better.


    edit: I do like diners, drive ins and dives too.

    Bobby Flay is a hack in my opinion. We get it Flamehead, you have the flavor profile of a mexican immigrant who is unable to afford any variety of food not found on the field... honey-lime-pepper-everything. Sure he prepares food properly, (for the most part, though watch the Throwdowns.... he has fucked some shit up bad) but just because no one has gotten a bout of parasitic bowel eating inch worms from one of his uninspired dishes, does not make him an amazing cook.

    The Food Network has been lacking of late, but it's still one of my favorite channels.

    Giada is all kinds of hot! I'd love to have her come cook for me!! ;)

    Good Eats is my favorite show, followed closely by Iron Chef.
    I like Bobby Flay, but seeing him on EVERY show on there anymore is getting a bit old.

    I miss Emeril!

    There is just waaaaaay too many reality-cooking shows on that network anymore...

    Emeril is on in the afternoons. I was watching his regular show, not Live! and he made this chicken that looked so freakin good so I made it and OH MY GOD it was to die for.

    I was watching a repeat of Live! and SAMMY HAGAR was on there, that was pretty cool.

    Honestly, and I hope it isn't the case... he looked rather sickly the last few times I have seen him on television. I hope he is okay.
    They also need to bring back Batali for his own show, he might be the best on that network as far as skill and knowledge.

    Watched way too many hours of that network... really since I was 10 or so. I have seen his evolution from Grillin' and Chillin' and on. I just always remain very unimpressed by him. Though! I will say, when he grills something it always looks astoundingly good, but most charred animal flesh does to me. I mainly just find him boring is all. Oh, and he seems a bit hung up on his own Flayness.

    Yeah, it still seems strange to me why they canceled Emeril Live. I wonder if he was just sick of it or he wanted to large of a contract or something because it was still one of the most popular shows on the network.
    Even more strange is why he sold the rights to everything (except his restaurants) to Martha Stewart.

    Agreed! She is terrible!!!!
    I also really dislike the women who prepares a weeks worth of meals from the same ingredients... ugh.
