Dude, it's soooo gross. My boyfriend won't even watch it. He did buy it for me though.

And yes, 'tis I indeed. Been busy with things that are not as fun as what you are thinking. hehehee

I liked the first two better, but IV was better than III. I apparently didn't pay much attention to the characters through out the series though.. so aside from Donny Wahlberg, Jigsaw, and the main girl, I didn't recognize anyone, which threw me off of the story a little bit... For some reason I just thought there wasn't really a story.

I bet if I watched them all again and paid more attention I would have liked IV much more.. although overall it's still one of the best horror/shock series of all time.

Is it better than II? That was my favorite.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.
  • Honestly, I thought it sucked. 1-3 were kind of fun, but 4 was way too convoluted

  • I just SAW this last night no pun intended.

It starts off way grosser. Nice Autopsy. The plot was decent, but nothing overwhelming. If I was to best describe it, I'd say heavier on the gore but really more of the same, and a tad too light on the escape from the deadly puzzle desperation feel. They sacrificed some of the plot cleverness for gore. If you like gore, you'll get it no doubt.

I loved Saw 1 even if it did try a bit hard for cult status by chucking in loads of 'signature' elements and then choosing which ones to carry through to the rest of the series.

Saw 2 sucked. Bit obvious it was a rush job on a pre-existing script to get it out in time for the next halloween.

Saw 3 and 4 are great but quite a bit too heavy on the gore for my liking. I would prefer it if it was more restricting in what you see like in the first film. Sometimes crafty camera angles can help build more tension than any gore can.

Looking forward to 5. It's tacky horror series, but that's what horrors all about.

the opening autopsy scene was f'ing nasty. after that i actually thought it was less gory than the other ones. the whole series went downhill after the first movie, which i think was actually a really good movie. now it is all about how crazy they can find a way to kill someone, not that i won't rent saw 5 when it eventually comes out.

I liked the earlier ones better as well. 1 & 2. I actually laughed pretty hard at the lady getting scalped contraption...I must be not well..hehe

haha so true they are so content just milking like marvel and DC and doing remakes and sequels because they know those movies/series etc already have a fan base they can rely on.

they would rather make 20 crappy movies with XXX amount of dollars then use the same amount of money to make 1 or 2 really well thought out, well written movies with good talented people attached to them.

They just dont make movies like they used too.
