    I don't know what it was, why on earth does it matter??? I don't get why anyone would care about a comment like that, yet two people did. I didn't say anything shocking.

    um, there is NOTHING natural about golf courses. golf courses cause habitat fragmentation at best and total destruction of habitats at worse. native species are cleared out and invasives are brought in. And um, why do you think golf courses always look so "nice"? it's called fertilizer, which seeps into groundwater and runs off into surface water. yes, there maybe worse uses for a given parcel of land, however a golf course is rarely a good choice.

    even on a small scale, there are species whose niche is so small, even just putting a fairway between groups of trees completely segments their habitat.

    yeah, you could say the same about houses, strip malls, etc. do you complain about those as well?

    I really like golf. Especially the mini variety.

    I want to brush up this summer so I can dominate something other than the par 3's.
