I hope you have a bunch of good snacks, a cooler full of water and other beverages, maybe a thermos of tea/coffee and either an ipod or cds for the tunes. Where are you going to and from where? Be sure and stop to take breaks on occasion and stop for a nap if you get drowsy, and stay hydrated which helps keep you alert. My longest was 600 miles in 1 day, Pearl Jam related (of course!).

Yes, moving day is finally upon us. Sucks I have to drive, but if I didn't, no way in hell my gear would get up there.

We drove out here when we moved too.. (But when we got here, we were unloading the truck and someone happened to lock the keys in the moving truck by accident....) ;)

but the driving part it wasn't so bad, we drove back to my mom's house for christmas this year too. It took us about 14 hours each way, but long car trips can be fun.. Don't drink too much coffee or you'll have to pee constantly.

    relax, take in the scenery.

until you hit the shit weather we're having up here now. snow in mid-april sucks balls.

anyway, welcome to the area. (if 5 hours away counts as "the area.")

  • download a book on tape. or several.

i personnally found harry potter books on tape were great. at the very least stop every 7-8 hours. get out. walk. eat. pee. etc. get leg circulation going. wake yourself up.
    and be careful.
    mean people suck!
    but nice people sw****w

I have a couple of friends who drove 24 hours straight from NYC to New Orleans.

They even got pulled over for smoking blunts in the car, but they made it.

Anyway, I'm out. The earliest I'll be back on here is Monday, but Tuesday most likely.

    Peace.
