بعد ساعات من قيام صحيفة السيدسفنسكا من نشر الكاريكاتير المسئ ذاك، فوجئ المجتمع السويدي بخبر إعلان وفاة بيتر مالين حيث نعي على صفحات الجريدة السويدية نفسها حوالي الساعة الرابعة عصراً من نفس اليوم. فبينما كان جالساً في اجتماع عمل في مقر الصحيفة المذكورة سقط الإعلامي السويدي بيتر مالين ميتاً وبشكل مفاجئ وسريع في مبنى الصحيفة الواقع في الجنوب السويدي المحاذي للدنمرك. هذا وقد هرع رجال الإسعاف إلى مبنى الصحيفة في محاولات يائسة لإنقاذ حياة مالين بلا جدوى حيث كان قد فارق الحياة.

    yeah see i got that translation too and it still didn't make much sense.....:o.....but when i translated the thread title 'sudden death' it made a little more sense......

    and i'm sure, if this is a joke, daytime is laughing his arse off right now....:D
