If the Suns take the upper hand in this series, I am sure David Stern will find a way to suspend members of their team to swing momentum...either way, it looks like they're going down today :(

Spurs are "Pearl Jam" of the NBA. Not a lotta fluff, they sure seem to get the job done.Since Duncan got there they have highest winning % of all the sports.Quiet guy like Ed Ved. Amare is just dumb. Cant stay outta foul trouble.
  • Tim Duncan gets on my nerves more than anyone else in sports history. He's always surprised when he makes a blatant foul. A couple of examples below of this irritating look.

Wow, the Suns had that in regular session then got a great start in the 1OT and yet still managed to lose in 2OT.

I'm a long time Knicks fan, they beat us in '99. I just think this sport is full of self-absorbed assholes like Stephen Jackson, Ron Artest, Marbury and a whole lot more, heck look at the Knicks(buncha thugs in shorts) Spurs play the right way. The way alot of Dynasties used to win, Defense+ Ball movement. People always think of teams like the Bulls of the 90's as a purely Jordan thing, which it kinda was. That tean could play major D without a real center. Bottomline is playoff Basketball is an entirely different beast than Regular season.

That would be a big time Match up, dont count out the Pistons. They can really Grind it out and are a deeper team. These playoofs are gonna be awesome.

Yes, I like that match up better because The Spurs are the dynasty of the decade, while the Celtic are the greatest dynasty of the NBA.

The Lakers have a great history with the Celtics but this season's C's would crush Kobe's Fakers without a sweat.

Boston Celtics: 16 NBA title - 3 Finals series loses
Lakers: *14 NBA titles - 14 Finals series loses
*Minnesota Lakers- 5 NBA titles - 1 Finals loses
Los Angeles- 9 NBA titles - 13 Finals series loses.

I used to think this too; I am a Jazz fan and would root for the Spurts next. However, I can no longer. Duncan, who used to be a class act, has become a huge whiner. They are the biggest flopping team in the history. Ginobili is a douche and flops and acts every time down the floor. Parker acts almost as much. And yesterday, Thomas flopped and got the call about 5 times. Purely disgusting; can't believe the Suns found a way to lose twice.

Were we watching the same game? Teams play us hard every night, and that is only exaggerated in the playoffs. Check out Ginobili after any game and you'll see the scars, cuts and bruises.
Thomas must have picked that up in Phoenix, or maybe when he was a Knick?
To quote D'Antoni "But that's all gamesmanship. Kurt does a great job and Raja does a great job. You love them when they're with you, and hate them when they're against you."

There was plenty of contact yesterday, but what I can't believe is how Shaq managed to sit on that last foul for the duration (so many in OT should have been his last).

    I can't wait; I think it's going to be a great series.
    Go Spurs! :D
