We had a slew of "check out my team" threads, so we know there a bunch of players. How about one thread thruout the course of the season. I'll start off with my 2 dilemmas.

1. I have Tony Scheffler, and I'm worried about Nate Jackson stealing his catches. I grabbed Randy McMichael as an insurance policy. Should I start McMichael, and hope for a comeback year for him and the rams offense?

2. I have the Bears defense/Special Teams. I know there not what they used to be, but I took them mainly for Hester. They're playing Indy this week, so obviously it's a lousy matchup. Free agent DST's include:

Ravens (vs. Bengals)
Cardinals (49ers)
Bengals (Ravens)
Saints (Bucs)
Broncos (Raiders)
Lions (Falcons)

hmm, number 1 is a tough one. Broncos aren't big on getting TEs involved. even with Marshall out i think they will focus more on running than ball. especially since they are facing one of the better pass defenses. what other TEs are available?

2 - yea, i would stay away from Chicago this week. Cards usually play Niners pretty tough and they are going up against O'Sullivan....who???
and both the Broncos and Lions are going up against rookies...as far as i'm concerned Russell is a rook. so, i don't man...but i would go with Cards, Broncos, or Lions. sorry i can't narrow it down more.

    Esther's here and she's sick?

hi Esther, now we are all going to be sick, thanks

that's cool, thanks for the advice.
  • Ok so I got some hatorade for drafting Willie Parker as my primary RB this season but...

THANK YOU WILLIE FOR MAKING MY FANTASY TEAM AWESOME TODAY! 31 POINTS EFFFF YEAHHHHHH!

Lil Wayne is better than Pearl Jam.

Bitches ain't nothin' but hoes 'n tricks
  • ok, this week involves banged up RB's. I have Adrian Peterson, Darren McFadden, Chester Taylor and Willis McGahee. At this very moment, I'm leaning towards starting chester taylor over Peterson (Taylor's on my bench) Willis McGahee over Darren mcfadden. But McFadden and peterson are the reason I'm 2-0. Am I making a mistake benching 2 of my best players? I hate starting guys that are questionable. they may not play at all. Or they may put up 3 TD's and 200 yards
  • Peterson and I believe Mcfadden are both a go for today so I would obviously start those two.

  • santonio holmes vs. JAC or Felix Jones vs. CIn for my flex position? No PPR
  • Ok I need some trade advice. I was offered Ronnie Brown and Steve Smith for Calvin Johnson, Ryan Grant, and Desean Jackson. Calvin and Grant should improve and Desean and has been very solid, but Brown and Smith are consistent which is something I like.

It's a PPR league, and my team currently at RB is Barber, Grant, Young, Mccallister, and WR is Calvin, Marshall, Roddy White, Branch, and Desean.

    Should I take it?

  • that's a tough one. How many RB's and WR's do you start? The other guy is trying to sell Ronnie Brown high. He has been looking good.

We start two RBs and two WRs, and then two more flex spots.

  • The fact that you can start 4 RB's makes me think you should decline. Ronnie Brown looks great now after the 5 TD game, and he likely will be good the rest of the way, but not that good. I have himm in one league, and I've put him on the block. Idiot that I am, I had him on the bench when he scored all those TD's. I still won, but not by enough

here's my query. I grabbed Hixon from the Giants last week on a lark, and started him. He had a monster half before getting his bell rung (102 YDS rec, 1 TD, 15 YDS rush, and he just missed a 2nd TD, getting tackled at the 1 inch line.) Should I aggressively shop him, or could he be the real deal. Even if he is, the Giants have so many options to throw the ball too. I'm thinking sell, but I would hate to get burned on the guy
  • I would sell because as you said, the Giants have way too many options. Burress will be back which pushes Hixon back down the depth chart below Toomer and Smith where he fights for time with Moss.

  • Pick two to start out of Desean Jackson, Correll Buckhalter, and Calvin Johnson. This is for a PPR league.

  • Ok, I'm starting Felix Jones, benching McFadden, McGahee, J. Stewart, and even Vincent Jackson for my flex. Should I leave it as is
  • oh yeah, I could have started Vincent Jackson over Felix (2 points). Jackson already has 20, and it's the 3rd quarter. I'm done, I lost. Started the year 2-0, and am now 2-4. At least I'll move to 4-2 in my other league, which is actually a much "richer" league. Much more money on the line. I also have jackson in that league, and I started him this week, and am on my way to victory (unless Burress, jamal lewis, and kevin Boss all have big games tomorrow)
  • after several days of proposals and counterproposals, I have just pulled off this swap. keep in mind, I have Rodgers at QB, and Steven Jackson & Marshawn Lynch at RB, plus Tim Hightower

I bring in Burress, Jonathan stewart, and JT O'Sullivan for Roethlisberger, Ronnie Brown, and Devery henderson.

I lose some depth on my bench, and if Rodgers gets hurt, (worse than he already is) i'm hosed. However, I bring in a top tier WR, the one area in which my team was severely lacking. My WR corps before the deal was Housh, Lee Evans, Vincent jackson, Chad & Bryant Johnson, and Henderson, who was a waiver pickup last week.
  • how bad is Seattle's Defense? With Rodgers on a bye, I have to either start O'Sullivan or scour the waiver wire

I'm starting JT this weekend because the Seattle D is awful.

  • I picked up Cassel, and now have to decide between cassel and JT. For the record, there is no penalty for INT's in this league

JT lit up the hawks in their first meeting....i could see Cassel, maybe not lighting it up, but having a decent day. maybe 250/2 TD's

however, both lead the league in getting sacked...with sacks come fumbles

    Esther's here and she's sick?

hi Esther, now we are all going to be sick, thanks
  • McFadden, McGahee, J. Stewart or lendale White? I can start 1 alongside Adrian Peterson

I could start 2 of that group by sitting one of my WR's, jennings, Moss, or Bowe, who I just picked up via the waiver wire

I'm leaning towards McFadden and starting all 3 WR's

    Any advice?
